Lade Presents at Virtual Nanoscience Summer Institute for Middle School Teachers
NanoEarth’s Research Associate, Bipin Lade, Ph.D., talked on "Sustainable Flocculation Process for Micro-Nano plastics Removal from Water Induced by Food-Grade Polymer" during the 2025 Virtual Nanoscience Summer Institute for Middle School Teachers (NanoSIMST) hosted by the Stanford NNCI site. Talking to 39 middle school teachers, Lade provided an overview of microplastics and nanoplastics. This included their sources, environmental degradation, and associated risk. He also discussed transport and treatment challenges for microplastics in wastewater. He finished by discussing a remediation strategy of food grade hydrophobic polymer-based flocculation to flocculate microplastics and nanoplastics in water for their easy, and efficient removal.
